The cover I did for the HERO Initiative's Wolverine 100 charity this year. Just happy that I was invited again (3 for 3 :D ). They're a great cause, and I always do what I can to support them. As always, I'd have preferred to have more time for it, but deadlines got in the way. Then again, it's a good problem to have. :) Hadn't done inkwash in forever, and experimented with a new reductive white (slightly diluted guache). It works great on straight black, but not as much for the greyscale. Either way, I hope that it pulls in some good money for HERO. :)

It's the Super Sentinel from the Morrison and Whedon runs. I wanted to put a Claremont Moses Magnum on there, but it didn't thematically fit. You can't beat the name Moses Magnum.


Unless it's the name Caleb Cleveland.

That's one savage fight with Sabretooth--nice!! And I really dig all the villains you've thrown on Wolvie's win pile too. Wish I could see the background wash a little better. I bet it's really sweet in person. :)

Thanks! :D The bg was hit and miss. I liked the super sentinel, but I tried using a slightly watered down gouache for dramatic clouds, and that didn't quite work. I'm hoping they'll show some of them at SDCC, but it might be a bit of a security theft risk.

(Yes, I know that the super sentinel that smashed Genosha became good with Whedon's Astonishing run, but couldn't avoid using it)
